Van Metre School of dance is the official school of the Appalachian Ballet Company. The Appalachian Ballet Company, under the artistic direction of Amy Moore Morton, is the regional classical performing company in the greater Knoxville area since 1972. The company's season includes three productions plus smaller performances and lecture/demonstrations.
