Saylorville Lake is a U.S. Army Corps of Engineers multi-purpose reservoir on the Des Moines River just north of Des Moines, Iowa. In addition to providing flood control, this 26,000 acre project also provides downstream river flow for water supply and water quality. The land is also managed for natural resources including conserving river, woodland, wetland and prairie habitats.
