Jamie S. Sutherell, MD - SLUCare Physician Group

Dr. Jamie Sutherell provides care for children with congenital and acquired heart disease. His areas of expertise include medical education, noninvasive imaging, and transesophageal echocardiography for procedural guidance during surgery or catheter placement. He is an associate professor in the Department of Pediatrics, Division of Cardiology, at Saint Louis University School of Medicine. Dr. Sutherell’s research interests include use of simulation and reflective practice in medical education. He is a member of the American Academy of Pediatrics, American Heart Association, American Society of Echocardiography, and the Council on Medical Student Education in Pediatrics. Dr. Sutherell has traveled to Haiti to teach pediatric residents about cardiology. He is an avid reader of history and biography, and has experience as an artist, focusing on photorealism.
