Russell Theatre

The Russell Theatre is a historic theater in downtown Maysville, Kentucky. It is one of the few remaining atmospheric theatres in the state and region. The theatre's claim to fame came in 1953 when Rosemary Clooney held the world premiere of her first major motion picture, "The Stars are Singing," at the Russell. While the auditorium is still in need of restoration, the theatre does still show movies, host special events, and offer field trips .
