YSS offers shelters for homeless, abused, neglected and runaway youth in Ames, Des Moines and Mason City. Our shelters also accept youth referred by Juvenile Court Services & Department of Human Services. Our Youth Opportunity Center in Des Moines provides meals, showers, and other drop-in services for daily needs.
