Kristen Van Fossen | Therapeutic Associates Physical Therapy

Kristen received her Bachelors of Science in Biology from the University of Washington, and her Doctorate of Physical Therapy from Eastern Washington University. During her time there she gained experience in working with a wide variety of patient populations including those with orthopedic injuries and neurological conditions. She has instructed boxing classes for those with Parkinson’s and also became a Stay Active and Independent for Life certified instructor.

She decided to pursue physical therapy after she discovered how it combines her love for science and the human body, with the opportunity to empower her patients to use their own bodies to heal and prevent future injuries. Kristen enjoys using both manual techniques and exercises specific to her patient’s goals in order for them to return to the activities they love. Her special interests include spine, hip and knee injuries, balance and fall prevention, and athletic injuries.

Kristen is originally from Northern California, but fell in love with the PNW after moving here for school. She loves anything that involves getting outside including snowboarding, hiking, kayaking, and paddleboarding. You can also find her testing out new restaurants in the Seattle area or choosing a fun recipe to cook.
