Kathy Stiles Freeland Bibb County Glades Preserve protects the rare ketona dolomite glades which include 8 plant species that are new to science, as well as protects the imperiled aquatic life in the Cahaba River. The preserve is home to 61 rare plant species, river-front hardwood forest, mountain longleaf pine forests, and whitewater shoals river habitat.
