Carter House — The Battle of Franklin Trust
Carter House was built in 1830 and originally owned by Fountain Branch Carter. During the Battle of Franklin on November 30, 1864, Carter House was used as a U.S. Army headquarters. Visitors learn the story of the battle and the Carter family's experience as they sheltered in their cellar during the night of November 30, 1864.
