Bridge City Farm School — Blue Raven Farm

Bridge City Farm school is an eight month, hands on apprenticeship program for beginning farmers. Our experiential program focuses on training new farmers how to farm sustainably on small acreage (1.5 acres or less). In-depth instruction will help participants to understand the nuts and bolts of intensive vegetable production. We provide over 575 hours of field instruction, growing over 40 different crops during the course of the season. Students will learn bed preparation, soil fertility, irrigation, field efficiency, pest and weed management, crop selection, and marketing. Bridge City Farm School trains aspiring farmers how to grow high-quality produce in a smaller space, which could be a double city lot, or on small suburban/ rural acreage.
